Thesis Driven Pitch Night
Connecting our graduates - upstart real estate sponsors - with our network of investors
We’ve now had over a hundred people complete Thesis Driven’s Real Estate Development and Capital Raising courses. Getting to know the program participants and their investment theses has been an education for me—I’ve learned a ton about new real estate niches and novel approaches, from co-housing sales to private REITs to land development and more.
Beyond that, I’ve been tremendously impressed by the track records and determination of these emerging sponsors.
So we’re creating a new opportunity for graduates of Thesis Driven programs to pitch real estate investors in the Thesis Driven community. Every quarter, we’ll pick 12 of the most interesting sponsors and concepts to come out of Thesis Driven programs, and they’ll each get seven minutes to present their concept (and live deal, if applicable) to real estate investors.
To be clear, Thesis Driven is taking no vig here. We see the forums that exist for tech entrepreneurs to get in front of venture investors—accelerators, incubators, pitch nights, and more—and we believe new real estate operators should have that too.
For real estate investors, there’s no pressure or obligation to invest. At a minimum it’ll be a great opportunity to meet some emerging sponsors and learn about things you wouldn’t otherwise have seen. And we promise it won’t be a parade of identical value-add multifamily and pref equity deals. This is Thesis Driven; there will be weird and innovative things. If you would like to meet a particular presenting sponsor, just email us after the session and we’ll connect you.
If you’re an accredited investor and would like to attend, fill out the form here. The first event will probably happen in late February or early March and quarterly thereafter.
For participants, it’s a unique opportunity to get in front of real estate investors. There are so few forums for this kind of thing in the real estate world, and most that do exist are pay-to-play and of questionable quality.
As I mentioned earlier, this is only open to people who have completed a Thesis Driven program—either our Capital Raising or Real Estate Development courses. (If there’s a lot of investor interest we might open a session to all subscribers, but we don’t have any immediate plans to do so.)
Investors can complete the form here to be invited to join!
