CapitalStack: Introducing the AI Lab
A weekly series on the AI tools and workflows reshaping real estate capital raising — starting with how to build an investor database in hours, not weeks.
A weekly series on the AI tools and workflows reshaping real estate capital raising — starting with how to build an investor database in hours, not weeks.
If you've raised capital for a real estate deal in the last decade, you know the rhythm: weeks of LinkedIn scraping, list-building, manual enrichment, and tracking down the right contact at the right family office. It's the work that historically sat on an analyst's desk, and consumed most of the hours of a raise before the first email ever went out.
That is changing fast.
The same AI tools reshaping legal, sales, and finance workflows are now good enough to compress a capital raise from a months-long grind into something a small team, or a single operator, can run end-to-end. The bottleneck is no longer technology, but knowing what to use and how to wire it together.
Today we're launching the CapitalStack AI Lab to figure that out in public.
Each week, our product analyst Oscar will build something new for real estate capital raising: investor databases, research agents, outreach sequences, scoring frameworks, and deal intake systems. He'll walk through how it works, and Paul and Brad will jump in to pressure-test what actually translates into capital raised versus what's just hype.
We start where every raise starts: the list. In Week 1 Oscar uses Clay, combined with CapitalStack data, LinkedIn and AI enrichment, to build a target list and write hyper-personalized emails. This is the kind of exercise a junior associate would spend three weeks on, built in an afternoon.
Here's a 30-second preview:
The full walkthrough — the exact Clay table structure, the enrichment prompts, and how we're layering CapitalStack's investor data on top — lives inside the CapitalStack community.
The next seven weeks build on Week 1:
By the end of the series, subscribers will have a working AI stack for capital raising, built alongside us, debugged in real time, and tied directly into the CapitalStack investor database.
The AI Lab lives inside CapitalStack, alongside our investor database, weekly call notes, monthly fireside chats with allocators, and the rest of the community. If you're raising capital, or selling into people who are, this is the room you want to be in.
