CapitalStack: Introducing the AI Lab
A weekly series on the AI tools and workflows reshaping real estate capital raising — starting with how to build an investor database in hours, not weeks.
Since launching CapitalStack this fall, we’ve gotten a great reception from our Founding Member GP community–emerging managers, established sponsors, and platform builders all looking for smarter ways to connect with family offices and private real estate investors.
What’s been most rewarding is how engaged the community has been in shaping what we build next. Every week, we get messages from members sharing what would make the platform more useful for raising capital–so we’ve been listening closely and iterating fast.
Over the past month, we’ve rolled out several updates directly based on that feedback: a major expansion of the family office data set, the launch of our first events database, new community workshops, and the beta of our investor matchmaking engine. Here’s what’s new.
1. More family offices, organized by MSA

The number one request from CapitalStack members was clear: more family offices, and better local organization (so you can pitch family offices that are local to your project). This week we’ve added 1,500+ new family offices and 3,000+ executive contacts, now fully sorted by MSA.
We’ve also expanded international coverage with nearly 500 family offices across Europe and the Middle East, giving GPs deeper access to cross-border capital flows.
2. A new Capital Raising Events database

Everyone asks: “What events are worth going to?”
So we built the beginnings of an answer. Our new Events Database highlights the top conferences, summits, and forums over the next six months–where sponsors actually meet allocators, raise capital, and stay ahead of market trends. This is just v1, but we’ll continue to build it out with verified investor attendance, focus areas, and community recommendations.
3. A growing educational community

We’re leaning into what’s working: practical education and live connection.
November’s events lineup includes our Marketing to Family Offices (Part 2) workshop, the debut of our Investor “Matchmaking” Beta & Algorithm, the LinkedIn Crash Course for Real Estate GPs, and our Monthly Capital Markets AMA.
4. The Investor Matchmaking Beta
We’re now onboarding our first cohort of PERE and family office investors to test CapitalStack’s matchmaking engine 1.0, which is designed to connect investors with relevant sponsors inside the community.
We’ve already made 45 successful introductions in our pilot phase, and will be scaling the program by the end of the month.
Our goal is to create the most valuable, interactive online community for GPs raising capital. Today this includes the only real estate equity-focused database in the world; an online community with monthly events & live investor notes; and an early version of investor matching & introductions. Over the next 12 months, we’ll be continuing to evolve these core offerings, while exploring other community benefits (e.g., IRL events, expert-led webinars and more evolved capital markets intelligence).
We’ll also likely increase the price for new database subscribers in the coming months. We’ve gotten the feedback that our current Founding Member pricing–$99 per month–is too low for what we’re offering. And Founding Memberships are nearly full. We’ll grandfather in existing paying subscribers at the old rate, so it might be a good idea to sign up now.
As a reminder, Thesis Driven isn’t venture-backed. In fact, we haven’t taken a dollar of outside capital. For two years we’ve been profitable and entirely self-funded, and we plan to keep it that way on our way to building a thoughtful, future-centered real estate brand. As we kick off 2026, we’re thrilled to have all of you along the journey with us!
