Learn Real Estate with Thesis Driven
A rundown of all Thesis Driven's upcoming classes, courses, and more - online and offline
As you may have seen, we’ve ramped up Thesis Driven’s classes and courses dramatically over the past couple months. We’ve seen lots of interest and gotten awesome reviews—with an NPS over 80—so we’ve been rolling out more opportunities for people to learn with us including shorter, lower-priced classes as well as multi-week online programs.
We’ve also started a separate list for people to stay up to date on our education offerings since we’re not going to constantly email the broader Thesis Driven subscriber list about our courses; you can go here to sign up for that list to stay in the loop. You can also browse our full catalog on our courses website.
Here’s what we have on the docket through the end of 2024:
NEW: Thesis Driven Classes
These are lower-priced, bite-sized live online programs tackling specific topics. They’re designed to be more focused and educational than Thesis Driven letters but far less in-depth than our multi-day and multi-week courses. Recordings will be available to anyone who signs up for these if they’re unable to make the live session time.
Thus far, we’ve announced three classes:
Online - October 24, 2024 at Noon ET - $39
A 1-hour, step-by-step tutorial teaching real estate sponsors how to attract institutional investment and family office capital.
Taught by Thesis Driven author Paul Stanton

A deep dive into the impact of autonomous vehicles on the real estate industry, including residential, office, parking, retail, and more
Taught by Thesis Driven editor-in-chief Brad Hargreaves
Online - November 5, 2024 at Noon ET - $39
A 1-hour interactive tutorial teaching real estate beginners and aspiring sponsors the key concepts behind underwriting a real estate deal
Taught by Thesis Driven author Paul Stanton
Fundamentals of Commercial Real Estate
This is Thesis Driven’s original—and most successful—program, and it’s now available both in-person and online. Fundamentals of CRE is a bootcamp for real estate beginners and proptech employees providing an insider’s view of “a day in the life” of key industry stakeholders, with real-world insights and applications.
Often, the people who join real estate technology and services companies bring a wealth of experience from other industries. But they don’t always know the real estate industry. This program is designed for founders and employees of companies serving CRE sectors including office, multifamily, retail, and hospitality.
The course follows a project—Harbor Yards—through a five year acquisition and redevelopment process. Through this project we learn the basics of real estate finance as well as the key roles involved in making real estate projects happen.
By the end of the course, students put their learnings into action by completing their own business plan and underwriting of a new real estate deal.
Live in NYC: Next session is October 15-16th at 3 World Trade Center in NYC. The live program is a two-day bootcamp wrapping up with a happy hour.
Online: Next session kicks off October 28, 2024. The online course is a five-week program with weekly live group sessions and a final capstone project.
As always, the course will be personally taught by Thesis Driven’s Paul Stanton and Brad Hargreaves.
Fundamentals of Capital Raising
Fundamentals of Capital Raising is a two-day bootcamp providing an insider’s guide to raising real estate capital from individuals, family offices and institutional investors.
The bootcamp’s aim is to help new & aspiring real estate entrepreneurs quickly develop the diverse set of skills required to raise capital for real estate projects—along with learning how and where to find investors.
The course will take a case-based approach, following the capitalization of Washington Place, a fictional 16-unit multifamily project in an up-and-coming neighborhood in “Big Apple City”.
The first day will introduce students to different investor types, deal structures and the sponsor’s preparation of underwriting and marketing materials to go out to market for capital.
The second day will walk students through the process of sourcing debt, running the outreach process to equity investors and negotiating and closing the deal.
At the end, students will design and present their own capital raising campaign—and later be provided access to an ongoing online community for students to continue networking, exchanging notes and sharing wins.
The next Fundamentals of Capital Raising is happening in NYC on November 12-13, 2024 at Industrious 3WTC.
If you’re curious about any of our programs, don’t hesitate to fill out the form and Paul or I will reach out to you! We aim to speak to all of our students 1:1 to get to know them a bit before they register for any Thesis Driven course.
